An official graduation ceremony was held for all the new recruits of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) at the Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF), attended by the Commander of the Royal Bahrain Air Force, Air Vice-Marshal Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa. Bahrain achieved the highest ranking among Arab countries in the World Happiness Report 2022, published by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network at the United Nations. In the report, the Kingdom is ranked 21st out of 146 countries, an improvement of one position from last year. In the report, the Kingdom is among the ten countries that experienced the largest growth between 2008-2012 and 2019-2021. According to Lebanon’s Nutrition Sector group, over 94 percent of children aged six to 23 months were not fed adequate diets, potentially leading to adverse life-long consequences. According to the report Nutrition in Times of Crisis, there are 200,000 malnourished children in Lebanon under five years old. Lebanon Nutrition Sector led by UNICEF and Action Against Hunger has called for stakeholders to take action against malnutrition. In a UN Security Council resolution on Yemen, Egypt condemned the cross-border attacks of the Iran-backed Houthis against civilians and civil infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and called for an immediate ceasefire.
