Bahrain achieved the highest ranking among Arab countries in the World Happiness Report 2022, published by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network at the United Nations. According to Lebanon’s Nutrition Sector group, over 94 percent of children aged six to 23 months were not fed adequate diets, potentially leading to adverse life-long consequences. In a UN Security Council resolution on Yemen, Egypt condemned the cross-border attacks of the Iran-backed Houthis against civilians and civil infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and called for an immediate ceasefire.
